I've been busier than usual, which I'm not used to, hence the delay in writing in my journal here. I've also been
feeling creative but with many distractions I've been feeling a bit edgy too.

I started on yet another StormMaster sketch, although I don't know if this one will make it into a painting. I'm
struggling a bit with this one, mainly with his face. I also started a new painting, of Yehren, last week but for some
reason the paint seemed oily and wouldn't apply to the paper right. The colours of the painting just got darker and
heavier and so I gave it in. I went to reprint it to start again but I found out I'd run out of printer ink so I quickly
ordered more inks from Amazon but I haven't had time for a second attempt yet. This is supposed to be my third
painting for my next update, which obviously has been delayed, and I'm feeling an edgy need for completion. I
HOPE that this week I'll complete my Yehren painting just how I want it.

I've been spending quite a lot of time at Deviant Art. Last month I mentioned that I had started my new page there
and since then I've devoted many pleasurable hours browsing other peoples art, leaving feedback, etc, and
updating my page there. If you missed it, the link is here…

I also updated my links page. One of the links is for the Yaoi Press Ltd. I found them
whilst browsing Yaoi literature at Amazon. They publish Yaoi books in the English
language and they're very good. I bought two, "The Aluria Chronicles" and "Stallion"
(featured left. Just click on the pic to take you to the Yaoi Press). Stallion, as you may
have guessed is set in the wild west and features a gorgeous Native American (or
'Indian' as some still say). The Aluria Chronicles had a vampire theme. I really
enjoyed reading these two books. Yaoi is becoming more and more popular, but if
you don't know what it is, it's meaning is 'boy's love'. :) These books are comic style
novels featuring romantic stories between males. You can view a few sample pages
of Yaoi Press books on their website. I also bought a great book, by a different
publisher, called "Wild Rock".
9 December - Busy and creative.
Last night I got some photos took of myself as I wanted to put a small piccy of me on my Deviant Art page. I think
this one turned out the best. It's not great quality though as it was only taken with a mobile phone.

So, for the past few weeks I've mostly been absorbed in yaoi art and literature :) It's one of the few art forms that
has such beautiful long haired males in abundance!

16 December - 14 years in the UK
Yesterday marked the 14th anniversary of my stay here in England. I originally come from Australia. The first few
years were really tough here and it hasn't been easy a lot of the time, but since I've lived here, my creativity has
flourished. For that I am very thankful. I also learned many things of a spiritual nature which led me to the miracle of
making contact with my beloved twin soul, Yehren. :) Sometimes I wonder what might have been had I not come
here, and that I can never know, but I have no regrets.

Each day I find a new artist on Deviant Art which I love and I find myself busy there each day. :) I am glad I decided
to go ahead with my own page there. I've also been discovering more of those beautiful boy dolls there. I really am
falling in love with these gorgeous things. Many of them remind me of my Yehren! They're slender, sexy, youthful,
pale, pretty and often with long black hair. :) They really are adorable. I'll be featuring more links for them on my links
page, which is growing all the time, I'm running out of room on the page! I thought I must be mistaken at first when I
discovered the price for these dolls was $400+, but that's correct! A full made-up doll (wig, clothes, etc) is around
$800!! I'll NEVER be able to afford one!!! :( As the popularity grows for these dolls, maybe they'll eventually go
down in price. * sigh * I sure hope so! Anyway, here a 2 links on Deviant Art which feature these lovely dolls.
24 December - Completed painting.
I managed to finish the painting of Yehren I spoke of above. :) and I am quite happy with it. Though, despite the fact
that I have a perfect image of Yehren inside my head, I never can reproduce it onto paper! I don't know why that
is… maybe I am trying too hard. It took a little longer than expected to finish this painting, for I spent one night just
touching up the eyes which took over 2 hours! I am hoping to squeeze in the update for my new paintings before
new years eve.

The new paintings are:

-My Inamorato (Yehren)
-Storm Dance
-Fairy Twinkle

I've also been busy touching up a few older paintings in my StormMaster collection. I see my mistakes more
clearly now and see that some of my older work really needs to be fixed up, or even done all over again. I'm not the
most perfect painter :) I have my limitations as I'm only self taught, but it wasn't my aim to be a professional artist
and I'm satisfied with my art in general. I am thankful for the talent I have, for I think it would be just awful and
terribly frustrating if I were unable to get all these images in my head down onto paper.

It's just past midnight here, Christmas day, so I'll wish all of you a happy festive season (if you celebrate :) )
