In this painting I simply wanted to capture a sensual and serene setting.

The word 'Gypsy' has its own special meaning to me, for a free and wandering spirit
unashamed to reveal his beauty.

The native American males are very beautiful and since the age of 12 their culture has fascinated and
inspired me (and I am aware that it is not correct to use the word "Indian", so forgive the title)

Unfortunately I was using inferior paper when I did this painting, so it turned out a little muddy.

A phase I went through in 2002 was my intrigue with the male spirit and his relationship
with the Earth.

For a while I was going through a Jungle Book phase. I've always liked the Mowgli character
and so I did my own version of a jungle boy inspired by this wonderful book/film.
